Breast Cancer Treatment Instructions |
- Do not scrub off your treatment marks. You may shower as usual and allow water to flow over area. Use only mild soap on the treated skin. Gently pat dry. Do not use deodorants or powders or creams in the treatment area unless authorized by the Nurse.
- You may use clear colorless aloe vera gel to the treated skin twice a day.
- Try to wear loose cotton tops. Avoid wearing a bra whenever possible. Men's cotton undershirts work well.
- Keep treated area protected from sun exposure.
- Continue stretching exercises throughout entire treatment course. This will increase range of motion and comfort in treatment position. See Nurse for instructions if not given by your surgeon.
