Delay in Cancer Treatment Raises Recurrence Risk

The New York Times reports that women who delay their breast radiation treatment after conservational breast therapy have a higher risk of recurrence in the breast than those who receive their treament in a timely fashion, based upon a study of 8000 women at the Cornell Medical College who had early-stage breast cancer.
