Resources for New Patients

resources2GET EDUCATED!
Your FROG team encourages you and your family to learn about your condition. In addition to the library, there are numerous great web sites that can provide a lot of useful information, just a few of which are listed here to get you started. Remember, however, that all sites are not equal, and that all information online is not necessarily current or even accurate. If you have questions, please ask your FROG team—we feel an informed patient is a happier patient. Ask your physician if you are eligible for any ongoing research studies. If you so desire, the team can also direct you to support groups in the area.

OTHER NAMES YOU MIGHT SEE
You might notice references in the clinic to an organization called ICON (Integrated Community Oncology Network). ICON is a network of over 50 clinical cancer physicians in the Northern Florida area who include Radiation Oncologists, Medical Oncologists, and Diagnostic Radiologists, all working together to make your treatment program more seamless. FROG makes up the Radiation Oncology Division of ICON.

Another name you might see is OnCure Medical, Inc. Oncure is an organization that FROG helped co-found in 1998 that takes care of the “bricks and mortar” at several of our sites. This facility management organization works closely with FROG, and allows us to focus more of our time on you and your family.
